Abby Welch, MS, LPC-MHSP
Professional Counselor

Hello! My name is Abby Welch and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee. I work with clients of all ages, but I’m especially passionate about supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate the complexities of life.

Through radical acceptance and skill building, I help clients move toward self-compassion and wholeness. I enjoy collaborating with clients and caregivers to create intervention strategies that fit their unique needs and goals, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.

As a practitioner, I strive to bring a steady, warm, and open presence to the counseling space while walking with clients through anxiety, depression, identity formation, family-of-origin issues, life transitions, emotional literacy, relationship challenges, and grief.

I am currently able to offer both online and in-person sessions and a sliding scale fee based on your needs. I know it can be intimidating to start the process of looking for a therapist. I have done the same process myself! But I truly believe in the positive effect that counseling can have, and I encourage you to reach out.
